About the Colchester Land Trust...
The Colchester Land Trust is a local, non-profit organization formed by citizens of Colchester, CT in 2003 to protect local land for its natural, recreational, scenic, historic or agricultural value. We depend on volunteer leadership and member support to pursue conservation goals and oversee land under our direction for future generations. The Colchester Land Trust is not a political organization, and not a branch of town or state government. However, we often work cooperatively with these agencies to acquire or manage land. We may also work with other non-profit organizations or developers to ensure that important land use decisions are openly discussed and prudently implemented.
